BASES LCI BCNFFF 2023

The team of the LCI Barcelona Fashion Film Festival, based in Barcelona, announces the following contest and opens a registration period for original audiovisual pieces (fashion films) from August 4, 2023 to September 20, 2023, both included.

LCI Barcelona Fashion Film Festival is aimed at new talents and established brands in fashion, audiovisual and advertising. All those individuals who wish to participate, will have to fill out the registration form that can be found on the festival’s website following the rules listed below:

1. Participants must be of legal age and there are no nationality restrictions.

2. Individuals who want to participate in the festival will have to fill out the form on the festival’s website and attach the following documentation:

  1. Link of the fashion film from Vimeo or other accessible platform.
  2. Two high quality images taken from the fashion film for its promotion.
  3. Completed registration form where you will have to indicate all the credits of the piece, a synopsis and what prizes you are applying for.

3. The registration fee is 15,90€ and will be paid by credit card via Eventbrite.

4. The audiovisual piece must last a minimum of sixty seconds and a maximum of seven minutes. In addition, if the piece has dialogue, it must have subtitles in Spanish or English.

5. For a fashion film to be considered as an EMERGING category, it must meet the following requirements:
· The fashion film must have a production cost of less than €3,000.
· The technical team or brand must have less than 5 years of experience in the sector.

6. The fashion films entered in this edition must be produced from 2021 onwards. The pieces with a previous year of production will not be accepted.

7. Fashion films may not contain pornographic material or content that threatens any entity, place, group or ideology. They may not violate any applicable law or infringe on any privacy and/or intellectual property rights (this includes any piece of music that does not include a license for use).

8. The winners will be announced via email and published on the official website. They will be chosen by the jury with a simple majority.

9. Those selected will have to cede all their rights of exhibition, exploitation and public communication of the audiovisual pieces to the festival team in order to use them for communication and promotion.

10. The winners will have a privileged place at the Final Gala of the seventh edition and two invitations to preferential places.

11. The festival’s claim period ends after 90 calendar days from the final gala of the competition.

12. In case of any conflict between team members or any infringement of privacy and/or intellectual property rights, the festival will not be held responsible.

13. The jury will select three finalists for each category. The fact of winning a category does not imply that the project is automatically disqualified for the others, so the same fashion film can be awarded more than once.

14. The prizes that will be awarded are: Best Photography, Best Idea, Best Styling, Best Art Direction and Best Fashion Film. Each award is divided into two categories: emerging and non-emerging fashion films.

15. Participation and registration in this competition implies full acceptance of the above rules, as well as the criteria of the festival jury. The team reserves the right to amend, change or modify these rules.

16 In the event that an audiovisual piece does not comply with the rules in the opinion of the festival team, it will be left out of the selection process and, consequently, out of the contest. In addition, the team reserves the possibility of leaving a prize void in the event that the material presented by the participants does not meet the minimum level of quality required or, in any other case, does not comply with the parameters of the previous clauses.
