LCI BARCELONA FASHION FILM FESTIVAL has already begun its countdown with the presentation of the news of this edition that was celebrated this Wednesday in the SOHO HOUSE.
Over 100 guests, including important filmmakers, producers, brands, emerging designers and fashion industry professionals, gathered at the SOHO HOUSE Barcelona Cocktail party to celebrate the staging of an edition that comes with important news.
LCI BCNFF will have the participation of Victor Claramunt, special guest of this edition of the festival.
“The festival will once again position Barcelona as the capital of fashion, and will celebrate its awards ceremony on October 25th at the Museu del Disseny.”
Victor Claramunt is one of the most important fashion films director in the world and the winner of the best director award at the La Jolla international festival in the USA (the equivalent of the Hollywood Oscar in Fashion Films) and has worked for important firms such as LongcChamp , Coca Cola, PlayStation, Sony Music, Adidas, Andres Sarda, Nestle and Castrol.
His fashion film Breaking Rules, made for Bibilou, has won more than 20 international awards – becoming one of the most awarded fashion films in the world- and his career has been recognized with a lot of awards: Best Fashion Film / Emerging Artist at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, Best Creative Concept at the Medellin Fashion Film Festival, Best Fashion Film and Best Production at Australian International Fashion Film Festival, and many others.
Victor Claramunt, famous for his unique style and for composing magical pieces, conquisted the guests with his words and with his fashion films from Gioseppo brand, and starring Elsa Pataky one of them and the other for children.

Claramunt, recently awarded Best Fashion Film Director at the Canada International Fashion Film Festival, shared the anecdotes and experiences of both filming.
He also explained that one of the key factors to shoot a fashion film is to have a great team behind and detailed the entire process since a brand contacts the director until they launched the fashion film: the first contact with the director, the visualization from the lookbook the internalization of the brand’s philosophy, the creation of the story …
On the format of the fashion film, he argued how this new art had given him the opportunity to tell his stories.
“The event is the only festival of fashion films in the city and the first in the world that gives special prominence to new promises.”
In adittion, the founders of the festival –Eva Font, Alba Piris and Andrea López-, presented the members of the commissioner and the jury of this edition, all of them experts with a recognized trajectory in the fashion, audiovisual and advertising world.
The comissioner — who will select the finalists – is formed by the director and film producer Judith Colell, the journalist specialized in fashion culture Charo Mora, the fashion brand consultant Maya McCarthy, the fashion designer and art director Fabricio Pérez, and the Social and Cultural Anthropologist Sílvia Ventosa, del Museu del Disseny.
The LCI BCNFFF jury team are the director of fashion films Victor Claramunt, the actress Mariona Ribas, the fashion designer Toni Miró, Metal Magazine’s Director Yolanda Muelas, the digital influencer Anna Ponsa, the CEO de XXL Comunicación Alex Estil-les, the fashion designerKrizia Robustella, the jewelry designer Nuria Torrente and the Director of Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, Pilar Velez.
During the event, the new awards category in this new edition were also presented: Best Art Direction and Best Art Direction New Talent. Those categories complement the other awards: Best Fashion Film, Best Emerging Fashion Film, Best Styling, Best Emerging Styling, Best Idea, Best Emerging Idea, Best Photography and Best Emerging Photography.
Finally, the founders announced that the Awards Ceremony of the 2nd edition of LCI BARCELONA FASHION FILM FESTIVAL will be celebrated on October 25th in the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona.
In addition, during the previous weeks, special activities, workshops and presentations related to the fashion sector, film, advertising and fashion films
will be celebrated.
